Jericho Technology is actively looking for Joint Venture Partners in Brazil.

Why Brazil? Because Brazil has the highest percentage of social media users in the world.

As explained recently by Rio de Janeiro-based journalist Renata Acioli, by the end of last year more than 67 million Brazilians – that’s 35 percent of the population – had access to the Internet, according to Nielsen.

Of these wired Brazilians, 38 million spent an average of 71 hours a week on the Web, and 80 percent visited blogs or social networks such as Google’s Orkut, Brazil’s answer to Facebook.

Brazilians are more engaged in social media than any other country, including the U.S.

Brazil is a leader in entrepreneurship, with an estimated one in eight adults being “entrepreneurs.” Much of the business that occurs in Brazil is done by single businesspeople either selling their homemade goods or providing their services. That creates a strong niche for Jericho Technology as entrepreneurial businesses comprise a significant percentage of our marketplace.

For the above reasons, expanding the services we offer to Brazilian companies, and U.S. companies doing business in Brazil, makes perfect sense. We would also be very interested to joint venture with any non-profit organizations providing services in Brazil.
